The 6ES7231-4HD30-0XB0: Four-channel analog input module for the S7-1200 backplane, accepting current (0 to 20 mA) and voltage (±10 V, ±5 V, ±2.5 V) signals as differential inputs. Parameterizable alarms, diagnostics and wire-break detection per channel. Draws 1.5 W from the 24 V DC backplane bus.
Integration notes
Mounts on the standard S7-1200 DIN rail (45 mm width). Power and communication are supplied via the backplane bus; no separate auxiliary supply needed. The 1.5 W load leaves headroom for additional modules on the rail. Diagnostic alarms can be parameterized per channel for wire-break, out-of-range, or maintenance requests.
