Four analog inputs, 14-bit resolution
The 6ES7231-4HD50-0XB0: This SB 1231 signal board packs four analog inputs with a 14-bit ADC onto a compact module that clips onto the front of an S7-1200 G2 CPU. Each channel accepts ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2.5 V, 0-20 mA, or 4-20 mA — the full set of common process signals for a small control station. The 14-bit resolution means you get 16,384 counts across the selected range, which for a 4-20 mA loop gives roughly 1 µA per count. For a pressure transmitter with a 0-10 bar span, that works out to about 0.6 mbar per count — fine enough for most flow and level loops.
