The Siemens 6ES7231-5PA30-0XB0 is a 4-channel RTD input module for the S7-1200 system. It reads Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, and Pt1000 sensors, plus resistance ranges 0–150 Ω, 0–300 Ω, and 0–600 Ω. The module includes wire-break detection and diagnostic alarms that can be read out over the backplane. Power draw is 0.5 W from the 24 V DC backplane supply.
