The Siemens 6ES7231-5PD32-0XB0 is an eight-channel RTD input module for the S7-1200 controller, supporting Pt100, Ni100, Cu10, and resistance measurement up to 600 ohms with wire-break detection and diagnostic alarm. Rated for -40 °C to 70 °C ambient, so it handles most plant floors and cold warehouses without derating. Panel fit
No parameterizable settings (fixed function), but diagnostic alarm and wire-break are enabled out of the box. No thermocouple or voltage/current inputs — this module is strictly RTD and resistance measurement across three ranges: 0–150 Ω, 0–300 Ω, 0–600 Ω.
