Spare-part module for S7-22X CPUs
The Siemens 6ES7232-0HB22-0XA0 is the EM 232 analog output module for the S7-200 family, designated as a spare part and compatible only with S7-22X CPUs. It provides 2 analog outputs, each configurable for either ±10 V DC voltage or 4 mA to 20 mA current signals. The module's 12-bit converter delivers a unipolar resolution of 0 to 32,000 and a bipolar range of -32,000 to +32,000.
Output drive and settling time
Settling time for voltage outputs is 100 µs; for current outputs it is 2 ms — the current loop's higher capacitance and load tolerance drive the longer settling. Maximum load with current outputs is 0.5 kΩ; minimum load with voltage outputs is 5 kΩ. Accuracy is ±0.5 % of the output range for both current and voltage, relative to the full-scale value.
Power draw and physical fit
The module draws up to 20 mA from the 5 V DC backplane bus and up to 70 mA from the 24 V DC external supply, with a typical power loss of 2 W. There is no plug-in I/O terminal block; wiring is direct to the module's fixed screw terminals.
