What it measures and how it alarms
This is a multi-function energy meter for the S7-1200: it measures voltage, current, active power, energy, and frequency in a single module. It handles both sinusoidal and distorted voltage waveforms — important for VFD-fed motor circuits where harmonics are present. Zero point suppression is parameterizable from 2 to 250 mA (default 50 mA), so you can ignore idle current on lightly loaded phases. Diagnostic and limit value alarms are built in — green/red DIAG LED for module status, red Fn LED per channel for faults, and green LED per channel for status. I&M data (I&M 0) is supported for asset tracking. Firmware version is V2.0.1; HW functional status from FS02. No isochronous mode, no hardware interrupt — this is a data acquisition module, not a fast safety input.
Approvals and lifecycle
Current production — no obsolescence notice on record. The module carries CE, cULus, UL, CSA, FM, KC, marine, and RCM (formerly C-TICK) approvals. Isolation tested at 2 300 V AC for 1 minute (type test). Parameter length is 74 bytes; cyclic, acyclic, and cyclic measurement modes are all supported.
