What the specs mean for replacement fit
The 6ES7272-1AA10-0YA1: The IP65 front rating means it mounts into a panel cutout (138 x 68 mm) and survives wash-down environments. 24 V DC power comes from the S7-200 communications port or an external supply – it does not load the CPU sensor supply. The backlit LCD shows 2 lines of 20 ASCII characters (10 for Chinese) with a 5 mm character size. 20 configurable system keys let operators navigate menus and set parameters without a touchscreen.
This is a drop-in replacement for TD200C units in S7-200 systems. The included 2.5 m cable connects directly to the S7-200’s PPI port. The operating temperature range of -20 to 70 °C covers most industrial panel interiors.
