SM AM06 analog I/O module for S7-200 SMART
The Siemens 6ES7288-3AM03-0AA0 is a SM AM06 analog I/O module that adds 2 analog inputs and 1 analog output to an S7-200 SMART CPU. It handles voltage (0–10V, 0–5V, ±5V, ±2.5V) and current (0/4–20 mA) signals, with 12-bit resolution for voltage/current and 11-bit when using the 4–20 mA range. The module draws 1.1 W from a 24V DC supply and mounts directly on DIN rail with a 45 mm width.
Integration in the control panel
The module connects to the S7-200 SMART bus via the integrated connector at the left side; no separate backplane required. It occupies one slot and is addressed automatically by the CPU. The analog inputs accept differential or single-ended signals; wire per the SMA connector terminal assignment. The 1.1 W power loss is low enough that no additional cooling is needed in a standard IP20 enclosure.
