Module fit for an S7-200 SMART rack
The Siemens 6ES7288-3AR02-0AA0 is a two-channel RTD input module for the S7-200 SMART platform, letting you connect resistance thermometers directly to the backplane without an external signal conditioner. It draws 80 mA from the 5 V backplane rail and requires a 24 V DC supply (-15 / +20 %) from the module bus – a standard fit for any S7-200 SMART CPU. The 45 mm width matches the standard narrow module size for the platform, leaving room for adjacent I/O slices in the rack.
Sensor compatibility and measurement core
Configurable via software for Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, Ni200, Ni500, Ni1000, and Cu10 – all common process sensor curves are supported out of the box. Full-scale range selection goes from 0–48 Ω up to 0–3000 Ω, with 15-bit resolution on the 150, 300, 600, and 3000 Ω ranges and 15 bits plus sign on the others. A sigma-delta converter handles the measurement; digital filtering can be set in four stages, and integration time is selectable from 10, 16.67, 20, or 100 ms to reject mains frequencies.
Physical and compliance
Housed in a compact 100 × 45 × 81 mm (H × W × D) IP20 enclosure, the module mounts on DIN rail inside a standard control panel. Carries CE marking – that declaration accompanies the part.
