32-channel 120 V AC input module — EOL status
The 6ES7321-1EL00-0AA0: Each channel accepts a signal "1" threshold of 74 to 132 V AC with a typical input current of 21 mA, and a signal "0" threshold of 0 to 20 V AC. The module is not parameterizable and lacks diagnostic or alarm functions — it is a fixed-configuration input block.
When specifying a replacement, the 40-pin front connector requirement and the 120 V AC input type are the critical fit constraints that any alternative must match.
The module occupies a standard S7-300 slot: 40 mm wide, 125 mm high, 120 mm deep. It requires a 40-pin front connector for field wiring — the connector is ordered separately and must be specified to match the screw- or spring-clamp termination preference. Isolation between channels and the backplane bus is provided by optocouplers, tested at 2500 V DC. Channels are grouped in banks of 8 with no channel-to-channel isolation within a group — this grouping matters when mixing phases or commons across the input set. The module draws 16 mA max from the 5 V DC backplane bus and dissipates 4 W typical. Status indication per channel (green LED) is provided, but no group-error or diagnostic LEDs are fitted.
