Input characteristics and wiring

The module accepts 2-wire sensors with a permissible quiescent current up to 1.5 mA. Signal '1' is detected between 13 and 30V with a typical current draw of 7 mA; signal '0' spans -30 to +5V. The input filter is parameterizable with selectable debounce times of 0.1, 0.5, 3, 15, or 20 ms.

Isolation and diagnostics

Channels are isolated from the backplane bus via optocouplers, with isolation tested at 500V DC. The module reports internal and external faults through its diagnostic function and can generate hardware interrupts for time-critical events.
