Output ratings and load handling
The 6ES7322-1CF00-0AA0: 8 digital outputs, each rated 1.5 A at signal "1", with a total per-module maximum of 4 A up to 40 °C, 4 A up to 50 °C, and 3 A up to 60 °C — the derating above 50 °C governs the real thermal budget in a warm cabinet. Rated load voltage is 48 V DC to 125 V DC, with electronic short-circuit protection and a typical response threshold of 4.4 A. The module includes reverse polarity protection via a fuse.
Width 40 mm, depth 120 mm, height 125 mm — fits a standard S7-300 DIN-rail slot. Requires a 20-pin front connector (sold separately). Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m; shielded up to 1 000 m. Isolation tested at 1 500 V AC between channels and the backplane bus. No diagnostic alarm, no wire-break detection, no fuse-blown indication — the group error SF (red) LED is the only onboard fault signal. Typical power loss is 7.2 W — account for this in the enclosure thermal calculation, especially when multiple modules populate the rack.
