16 outputs at 0.5 A — external protection required
The Siemens 6ES7322-5GH00-0AB0 is a 16-channel digital output module from the SM 322 series, rated for 24/48 V DC supply with 0.5 A per channel and a module total of 8 A at up to 60 °C. Each output delivers a rated "1" signal at L+ minus 0.25 V, with a residual current below 10 µA in the off state. Note that short-circuit protection is not onboard — it must be provided externally per channel or group.
Switching speeds and diagnostics
Resistive load switching is rated at 10 Hz max; inductive loads and lamp loads drop to 0.5 Hz. The module supports parameterizable diagnostic alarms and a group error LED (SF red). Channel-to-channel isolation is grouped in ones, with optocoupler isolation between channels and the backplane bus, tested at 1,500 V AC. Reverse polarity protection is included on the supply side.
