Fail-safe output for SIL 3 safety loops

The Siemens 6ES7326-2BF41-0AB0 is an SM 326 fail-safe digital output module with 8 channels, each rated 2 A per channel at 24 V DC. It carries SIL 3 per IEC 61508, Cat. 4 per EN 954, and PL e per ISO 13849-1 — the highest discrete safety integrity for a standard form-factor module. This module is designed for safety-critical shutdown and guard-monitoring circuits where a single point of failure must not cause loss of the safety function. The 2 A per-channel rating (derated to 1 A in vertical installation) handles direct solenoid and contactor loads without an interposing relay.
