What signals does this module accept?
The 6ES7331-7NF00-0AB0 is an 8-channel analog input module for the Siemens S7-300 family. It accepts voltage inputs of ±10 V, ±5 V, and 1 V to 5 V, plus current inputs of 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA. This covers the common industrial signal ranges for transmitters, transducers, and process instruments without needing external signal conditioners.
What it does not support
This module does not support thermocouple types (B, C, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, U), RTD types (Pt 100, Pt 200, Pt 500, Pt 1000, Ni 100, Ni 120, Ni 200, Ni 500, Ni 1000, LG-Ni 1000), or resistance measurements (0-150 Ω, 0-300 Ω, 0-600 Ω). If your application requires direct thermocouple or RTD connection, you need a different S7-300 analog input module.
Mechanical fit for the rack
The module is 40 mm wide, 125 mm high, and 117 mm deep — it occupies one slot in the S7-300 rack. The depth includes the front connector. No special clearance needed beyond the standard S7-300 backplane spacing.
