The Siemens 6ES73317KF010AB0 is an SM 331 analog input module for the S7-300 programmable logic controller system. It delivers 8 multiplexed input channels that accept voltage, current, thermocouple, and resistance signals, with software-configurable resolution of 9, 12, or 14 bits. The module is optically isolated and includes diagnostic functions accessible over the backplane bus.
Installation and integration notes
The module plugs into an S7-300 rack and can be inserted or removed with the backplane bus active (hot swap). The 20-pin front connector carries all analog and power wiring; use shielded twisted-pair cable for thermocouple and resistance inputs, and route analog lines away from digital I/O cables to maintain signal integrity.
