Two analog outputs with voltage and current ranges
The Siemens 6ES7332-5HB01-0AB0 is an S7-300 SM 332 analog output module providing two analog outputs configurable for voltage (0 to 10 V, 1 V to 5 V, -10 V to +10 V) or current (0 to 20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA, -20 mA to +20 mA) signals. This covers the common process-control signal standards for driving actuators, valve positioners, and drives from a single module slot.
Power supply and backplane loading
The module draws 60 mA max from the 5 V DC backplane bus and up to 135 mA from the 24 V DC load voltage L+ (without load). Typical power loss is 3 W. The 24 V DC rated supply must be reverse-polarity protected — the module includes reverse polarity protection on the load voltage input.
Conversion time and load drive capability
Conversion time per channel is 0.8 ms, which supports typical process-control update rates. Voltage outputs drive a minimum load of 1 kΩ and are short-circuit protected (max short-circuit current 25 mA). Current outputs drive up to 500 Ω load resistance and can handle inductive loads up to 10 mH. The module also drives capacitive loads up to 1 µF on voltage outputs.
Diagnostics and isolation
Parameterizable diagnostic alarm and diagnostic information are readable. A group error SF (red) LED indicates faults. Isolation is tested at 500 V DC between channels and the backplane bus, and between channels and load voltage L+. There is no isolation between the two output channels themselves.
