Module identity and key ratings
The 6ES7332-5HB81-0AB0: This is a SIMATIC S7-300 SM 332 analog output module with 2 analog outputs, voltage and current, optically isolated, designed for the expanded temperature range. The resolution is 11 bits + sign for bipolar ranges (±10 V, ±20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA, 1 V to 5 V) and 12 bits for unipolar ranges (0 V to 10 V, 0 mA to 20 mA). The module occupies a 40 mm wide slot in the S7-300 DIN-rail assembly. Depth is 117 mm, height 125 mm. It requires a 20-pin front connector (ordered separately).
Output range and load drive capability
Supported output ranges include 0 V to 10 V, 1 V to 5 V, -10 V to +10 V, 0 mA to 20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA, and -20 mA to +20 mA. Voltage outputs are short-circuit protected with a maximum short-circuit current of 25 mA. Current outputs have a no-load voltage of up to 18 V. Load limits: voltage outputs drive a minimum load of 1 kΩ; current outputs drive a maximum load of 500 Ω. Capacitive load on voltage outputs is limited to 1 µF; inductive load on current outputs is limited to 10 mH. Conversion time per channel is 0.8 ms.
Diagnostics and isolation
The module supports parameterizable diagnostic alarms, a group error SF (red) LED, and readable diagnostic information. Isolation between channels and the backplane bus is tested at 500 V DC. Power consumption: 3 W typical from the load voltage L+ (max. 240 mA without load), and 60 mA max. from the 5 V DC backplane bus.
