Eight HART-capable analog outputs for ET200M
The Siemens 6ES7332-8TF00-0AB0 is an SM 332 analog output module for the SIMATIC DP ET200M distributed I/O system, providing eight channels with 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA output, each supporting the HART protocol for loop-powered field device communication. It mates directly to the IM 153-2 interface module and requires a 20-pin front connector.
Current-loop specs that decide the fit
Each output drives up to 750 Ω into the current loop, with a no-load voltage of 24 V DC — enough headroom for a typical HART field transmitter across 800 m of shielded twisted pair. The 16-bit resolution with overrange gives you 0.1 % relative accuracy across the output range. Switching times are 0.1 ms into a resistive load and 0.5 ms into an inductive load up to 10 mH. The module draws 100 mA from the 5 V backplane bus and up to 350 mA from the 24 V load supply, with a typical power loss of 6 W.
EOL status and sourcing reality
Because this part is EOL, new-stock availability is through independent distribution and surplus channels only.
