Analog I/O — what the resolution means on the line
The 6ES7335-7HG00-0AB0: Four analog inputs with 14-bit resolution and four analog outputs with 11/12-bit resolution. The 14-bit input gives 16,384 counts over the range — enough to resolve a 0–10 V signal to about 0.6 mV per LSB. The 11/12-bit output delivers 2048 or 4096 steps respectively. Optical isolation on the I/O side keeps ground loops from coupling noise into the S7-300 backplane — critical on a weld line where servo drives and welder inverters share the same panel. Diagnostics and interrupt capability let the CPU react to an out-of-range channel without polling.
