Analog I/O configuration and resolution
The 6ES7335-7HG02-0AB0: The module provides 4 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs in a single 40 mm-wide S7-300 housing. The inputs deliver 14-bit resolution with overrange (12-bit without), and the outputs resolve to 11/12 bit — enough for most process-value monitoring and control loops where a 16-bit card would be overkill. Optical isolation separates the analog circuitry from the backplane bus, which means a fault on the field wiring — a shorted transmitter loop or a voltage spike on the output — stays on the field side and does not take out the rack power supply or the CPU.
Panel fit and mechanical constraints
The module is 120 mm deep, 40 mm wide, and 125 mm tall — standard S7-300 single-width format. It snaps onto the DIN rail and connects to the backplane bus via the 20-pin front connector. If you are retrofitting into an existing rack, verify that the slot is free and that the front connector wiring (20-pin) matches your existing field-wire termination scheme.
