Safety analog input module for S7-300 F-systems
The Siemens 6ES7336-1HE00-0AB0 is an SM 336 F-AI safety-rated analog input module for the S7-300 platform, providing 6 analog inputs with 4 channels dedicated to voltage measurement (0 to +10 V) and the remaining configurable for current (0 to 20 mA or 4 mA to 20 mA). It carries a SIL 3 rating per IEC 61508 and Category 4 per EN 954-1, making it suitable for fail-safe applications up to Performance Level e (ISO 13849-1) and Requirement Class AK 6 (DIN V 19250).
Input characteristics and wiring constraints
The module draws 160 mA from the 24 VDC supply (L+) and 90 mA max from the 5 V backplane bus, with a typical power loss of 4.25 W. Input resistance is 59 kΩ for the 0 to 10 V range and 107 Ω for current ranges. The integration time is 20 ms at 50 Hz or 16.66 ms at 60 Hz. A 40-pin front connector is required (not included). Shielded cable runs up to 200 m are supported.
Diagnostics and isolation
Diagnostic functions are parameterizable, including a group error SF (red) LED and readable diagnostic information. Isolation is tested at 500 V DC / 350 V AC between channels and the backplane bus, though channels are not isolated from each other. Reverse polarity protection is built in.
