CP 341 for S7-300 — RS232C point-to-point link
The Siemens 6ES7341-1AH01-0AE0 is a CP 341 communications processor for the S7-300 platform, providing a single isolated RS232C (V.24) interface via a 9-pin sub-D connector. It handles point-to-point serial communication using ASCII, 3964 (R), or RK 512 protocols, each with a 1 024 byte buffer. Transmission rate is selectable from 0.3 kbit/s up to 76.8 kbit/s (half-duplex only at the top rate). The module draws 70 mA from the backplane bus and up to 200 mA from the 24 V DC supply, dissipating 4.8 W max.

RS232C interface and protocol support
The single isolated RS232C interface supports ASCII, 3964 (R), and RK 512 protocols, each with a 1 024 byte data buffer. The FB length in RAM is 5 500 bytes for data communication send/receive functions. Customer-specific drivers are reloadable, and the module connects via 3 screw terminals (L+, M, GND) for the supply voltage. Maximum cable length is 15 m.
