What this module does – and what it needs
The 6ES7352-5AH01-0AE0: Temperature range covers -40 to 70 °C, so it will live in a refrigerated warehouse or a desert panel without complaint. Power loss runs 6.5 W typical. The module requires a 128 kbyte MMC for operation – do not forget the memory card when building or replacing this slot.
What it takes to wire it in
Encoder connection: differential signals (DATA/notDATA, CK/notCK) for SSI; A/B track for incremental. Cable runs up to 100 m unshielded, 600 m shielded. Monoflop time settable in steps of 16/32/48/64 µs to match encoder timing. Input thresholds: signal '1' from +11 V to +30 V; signal '0' from -30 V to +5 V. Max switching frequencies are 1 µs low to high (0.6 µs at 50 mA, 1.0 µs at 0.5 A) and 1.5 µs high to low. For the 24 V inputs, rise time is 3 µs max (typ. 1.5 µs). Diagnostic alarms cover most field faults: missing supply lines (1L, 2L, 3L), MMC error, output overload, encoder supply overload, differential wire break, parameterization errors, and SSI message frame overflow. Eight hardware interrupts are available for user program triggers.
