What this module does in an S7-300 rack
The Siemens 6ES7357-4AH00-0AE0 is a PLC I/O & Expansion Module for the S7-300 platform, slotting into the rack to add digital or analog channel capacity as the application requires. It is compatible with the S7-300 backplane — the module is keyed and auto-negotiates the bus cycle time on insertion, so it works with any S7-300 CPU that has a free slot.
Front-panel wiring uses the standard S7-300 front connector (sold separately); the module's I/O map is assigned by the CPU's hardware configuration in TIA Portal or Step 7.
