What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6ES7392-1AN00-0AA0 is a screw-type terminal block designed for the 64-channel I/O modules of the S7-300 PLC family. Its job is to connect field I/O signals — digital or analog — to the module's internal bus, using a standard screw-clamp termination that panel wiremen know well. Each packing unit delivers two terminal blocks, so a single order code covers a pair of 64-channel modules.
Temperature and environment
Rated for an ambient operating range of 0 °C to 60 °C. The 60 °C ceiling is the spec that matters if the block sits inside a crowded cabinet near heat-generating modules or drives — stay under that and the screw terminals and housing are within their design limits. The 0 °C floor is standard for indoor control panels; no special cold-start provisions needed above freezing.
Dimensions and panel fit
The block measures 120 mm wide, 48 mm deep, and 46 mm high. That width matches the 64-channel S7-300 module's front face — it bolts directly onto the module housing, not onto a DIN rail. The 48 mm depth is shallow enough to leave clearance for wiring ducts in a standard 200 mm deep cabinet. No special tooling needed; just a screwdriver for the clamp terminals.
