The Siemens 6ES7511-1AL03-0AB0 is a standard CPU in the SIMATIC S7-1500 family. It integrates PROFINET IRT for deterministic real-time communication, MRP Manager (conforming to IEC 62439-2) for media redundancy, and MODBUS TCP for easy integration with third-party devices. Onboard PID controllers with integrated optimization handle temperature and valve loops without an external controller. The process image supports 32 kbyte for inputs and 32 kbyte for outputs, accommodating a substantial amount of I/O data per cycle without needing an external communication processor for data exchange.
Environmental & Mounting – Fit for Harsh Plant Floor
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 70 °C, this CPU can be installed in unheated cabinets or near heat sources. The 35 mm width fits standard S7-1500 rail profiles; depth is 129 mm and height 147 mm. Front gland plate clearance should respect the wiring space for the integrated PROFINET port and optional communication modules.
