PROFINET IRT CPU with Redundancy
The Siemens 6ES7511-1CK00-0AB0 is an S7-1500 CPU with PROFINET IRT and MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) as per IEC 62439-2 Edition 2.0. It also supports MODBUS TCP for integration with non-Siemens controllers. The process image handles 32 kbyte of inputs and 32 kbyte of outputs, covering most medium-scale stations. Network discovery is enabled via DCP, DNS, and LLDP, and the CPU serves standard and user pages over HTTP and HTTPS.
Mounting & Integration
Mounts on a standard S7-1500 DIN rail. Width 85 mm leaves room for adjacent modules. Power is drawn from the backplane; no separate 24 V supply required beyond the system power module. Supports up to four communication modules (CM/CP) for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, or Ethernet. The onboard PROFINET interface runs at 100 Mbps and supports IRT for isochronous applications. For vertically loaded panels, the ambient range is -40 °C to 70 °C. The integrated I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) aids asset tracking and compliance documentation. Forcing and capture functions are available for commissioning.
