CPU capabilities and commissioning
The 6ES7513-1RM03-0AB0 supports DCP and DNS for assigning device names and IP addresses on a PROFINET network. It supports IEC 62439-2 MRP Automanager for media redundancy, and offers MODBUS TCP alongside raw UDP/TCP communication. The CPU handles a 32 kbyte process image for both inputs and outputs, with all I/O mapping to the process image for deterministic access. Programming is available in LAD, FBD, SCL, STL, and GRAPH, covering the full spectrum from logic to structured high-level code. Integrated PID controllers with auto-tuning handle temperature loops and valve positioning without requiring a separate function block.
Mounting and environmental fit
The unit measures 35 mm wide, 147 mm tall, and 129 mm deep, fitting a standard DIN-rail profile. Rated for operation from -40 °C to 70 °C, with an I²t rating of 0.5 A²·s for short-circuit coordination in the backplane. A hardware clock is built in, and I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) enables asset tracking and condition monitoring.
