CPU 1514-2 PN for mid-range automation
Siemens 6ES7514-2VN03-0AB0 provides a 32 kbyte process image on both inputs and outputs, supporting LAD, FBD, SCL, STL, and GRAPH programming. The unit carries DCP, DNS, DHCP, LLDP, and SNMP out of the box, and handles MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) as Manager, Automanager, and Client — enough to build a ring with sub-200 ms recovery. MODBUS TCP is also included for linking to drives or HMIs that don't speak PROFINET natively. No IRT and no PROFIsafe on this CPU. It supports UDP for peer-to-peer communication.
