CPU 1515-2 PN — integrator’s first look
The 6ES7515-2RN03-0AB0: Two PROFINET ports with MRP redundancy (IEC 62439-2 Edition 2.0) and full DCP/DNS support; no IRT, so not for isochronous motion axes. 32 kbyte input and 32 kbyte output process image covers moderate I/O footprints; all I/O points appear in the process image without windowed access. Rated ambient range -40 to 70 °C — usable in cold storage or non-conditioned cabinets without forced heating.
Programming and integration notes
Supports LAD, FBD, SCL, STL, and GRAPH — no need to switch toolchains mid-project; integrated and blocks reduce custom loop coding. MODBUS TCP and UDP on both ports; no MODBUS RTU on the integrated RS-485 unless an external CP is added. I&M data (I&M0–I&M3) for asset tracking; SNMP and LLDP for network management integration.
