Controller backbone for high-speed lines
The 6ES7515-2UN03-0AB0 is a fail-safe capable PROFINET CPU with 32 kbyte each of input and output process image. Operating temperature range is -40 to 70 °C, suitable for non-conditioned panels near washdown zones.
Network resilience that matters
PROFINET runs at full 100 Mbps with MRP Automanager support (IEC 62439-2 Edition 2.0), so if a switch or cable fails mid-shift, the CPU stays online — no production stop to ring an integrator. DCP and DNS are both enabled, which simplifies initial IP assignment and device discovery on a mixed-vendor line. The failsafe logic is programmed in FBD or LAD, both with failsafe instructions built in, and PROFIsafe is supported for safety-related I/O.
Mounting dimensions and sourcing
