The 6ES7522-1BH10-0AA0: Sixteen digital outputs on a single S7-1500 slot, 24 V DC rated, delivering DQ and MSO signals but no PWM generation – so it is a straight solenoid/contactors interface, not for servo pulse trains. Supplied with 40-pole push-in front connectors, stripped and keyed for the module. That saves a line item and eases panel wiring. SIL 2 capable, though the module lacks diagnostic alarms or isochronous mode. On-board RUN/ERROR LEDs and I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) are the extent of diagnostics.
Revision Comparison
The earlier variant 6ES7522-1BH01-0AB0 did not include front connectors; they were ordered separately. This -1BH10 ships with them, reducing procurement count and ensuring matching connector pitch. Firmware V1.0.0 on the -1BH10; the -1BH01 shipped with an earlier revision. For new builds, the -1BH10 is the intended replacement.
Lifecycle & Sourcing
Because it is active and includes connectors, it is straightforward to source via OEM channels. The 25 mm width fits standard S7-1500 racks without derating for adjacent slots.

Width 25 mm, height 147 mm, depth 129 mm – fits a single-S7-1500 slot. Typical power loss 2.2 W; no special ventilation needed. Outputs switch from '0' to '1' in 100 µs, '1' to '0' in 500 µs. Maximum lamp load frequency 10 Hz; keep inductive loads below that repetition rate or add suppression. The module is supplied with push-in connectors; strip lengths follow the usual Siemens 8-10 mm guide. No tool needed for insertion.
