What it is
The 6ES7522-5FH00-0AB0: Supports DQ (device qualification) and MSO (maintenance shut-off) functions, enabling diagnostics and safe shutdown within the fail-safe CPU architecture. No PWM capability—triac outputs are strictly on/off for AC mains.
Mounting and integration
The module occupies one S7-1500 slot at 35 mm width, 147 mm height, 129 mm depth. Bonds to the backplane via standard U-connector; isolation tested at 3 100 V DC. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m; shielded up to 1 000 m. Position it away from high-voltage drives to keep common-mode noise off the triac triggers. Channel status shown per green LED; module diagnostics via red LED. FW update possible, firmware revision V 1.2.0. Prioritized startup reduces bus scan time on power-up—useful for sequenced machine starts.
