This is the Siemens 6ES7526-2BF00-0AB0 S7-1500 digital output module – eight channels, each rated for 8 A up to 60 °C without derating. That’s the kind of headroom you want when the panel’s sitting next to a hot motor or a sunny wall. On a 24 V DC rail, it’s built for real loads, not just signal levels.
Out here in the grease, if a valve actuator or a pump contactor drops out, you need to know which channel popped and why. This module gives you that: wire-break detection, short-circuit detection, and a channel-specific red LED for diagnostics. Overload protection is baked in, and it’ll fire a diagnostic alarm over Profinet. Saves a round trip to the panel with a laptop. Physical fit is standard S7-1500: 35 mm wide, 129 mm deep. Power consumption runs 11 W typical. The module does current-sinking or sourcing on the outputs, and you get 6 bytes of I/O for the standard CPU, 5 bytes with an F-CPU. I&M data up to I&M3 is supported for asset management.
