The Siemens 6ES7531-7NF00-0AB0 is a 4-channel analog input module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system, accepting 0 to 20 mA and 1 V to 5 V signals on a 2-wire interface. It does not support thermocouples or RTDs — every TC/RTD type in the spec table is flagged No (Pt100, Pt1000, type K, type J, type B, etc.). If your line-down spare was reading a temperature probe, this module won’t do the job. The module fits the standard ET 200SP form factor: 35 mm wide, 147 mm tall, 129 mm deep.
This module carries I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) for asset tracking — a small but useful detail for panels that log module IDs against the PLC hardware catalog.
Mounts directly into an ET 200SP baseUnit (not included). The terminal assignments follow the standard 2-wire AI pinout — no special wiring beyond the 0-20 mA or 1-5 V signal loop. Step resolutions are Low and High (selectable per channel). If you're swapping a failed module on site, power down the rack, pull the old card, clip in this one — the baseUnit stays. The 35 mm width leaves no gap in the rail; verify the baseUnit color (light) matches the module type if your panel uses the keying system.
