The Siemens 6ES7553-1AA01-0AB0 is a TM PTO 4 interface module for the S7-1500, providing four independent channels of pulse train output (PTO) for stepper drives. Each channel offers 24 V, RS-422, or 5 V signaling, plus two digital inputs and one digital output at 24 V DC, letting you handle axis limit sensing and enable signals directly on the module.

Mounts on the S7-1500 backplane, occupying one slot. The 4 PTO channels are configured via TIA Portal; each can be set independently for stepper drive profiles. The 2 DI per channel suit home-limit sensing, and the 1 DQ per channel can gate a drive enable or brake release. RS-422 mode supports longer cable runs than 24 V single-ended, useful when drives are a few meters from the cabinet.
