The 6ES7590-0BH00-0AA0 is the active backplane bus for S7-1500 / ET 200MP systems – the spine that supplies power and communication to up to 8 I/O modules in a single-width layout. Accepts IM 155-5 PN HF (from FW V4.4.1) for PROFINET. Hot-swap capable. Isochronous mode and I&M0–I&M3 supported for time-critical applications. Runs cool at 2 W typical power loss, delivering 2 W from the backplane bus to modules. Fits a 35 mm grid; also accepts 25 mm-wide modules if you need to pack higher density.
