What this panel PC delivers
The Siemens 6ES7717-1....-0... is a rugged industrial panel PC built around either an Intel Core i5-6440EQ (2.7 GHz to 3.4 GHz, 4 cores, 6 MB Smart Cache) or i7-6820EQ (2.8 GHz to 3.5 GHz, 4 cores, 8 MB Smart Cache) on a Mobile Intel QM170 chipset. It ships with a 512 Gbyte SSD, field-replaceable and upgradeable up to 1 TB, and supports up to 32 GB DDR4-SDRAM SO-DIMM across two slots. Connectivity includes 2x Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 with independent MAC/IP addresses, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, one DVI-I port, one DisplayPort, three USB Type-A ports (one with integrated charging even when the unit is off), and one USB Type-C. Wake-on-LAN is supported via Port 1. The display delivers 300 cd/m² luminance with a non-reflecting surface, backed by an 87-key QWERTZ/QWERTY or AZERTY keyboard and a retractable handle for transport. An integrated lithium-ion battery (8.8 A·h) is replaceable in the field.
Environmental and compliance
Rated for operation from -20 °C to 60 °C with a maximum temperature gradient of 20 °C/h, no condensation allowed. The unit carries CE, UL, and CSA approvals, and is developed and produced in Germany under DIN/ISO 9001 certification. Software support includes Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 pre-installed, plus optional STEP 5 V7.23 HF2 (including GRAPH 5/II V7.15). Restore & Recovery media is included for system restoration.
