The 6ES7922-5BD20-0HC0: This is the 40-pole front connector with pre-wired single cores for a SIMATIC S7-1500 digital I/O module. It terminates the field wiring at the module face and brings out 40 individual cores, each numbered consecutively from 1 to 40, to a screw-type terminal block on the enclosure side. Rated for 24 V operation with a maximum of 30 V, it handles the signal-level voltages typical of S7-1500 digital inputs and outputs. The 3.2 m cable length gives enough reach to route from the module slot to a nearby terminal strip or junction box inside the control panel without needing an extension.
Cable construction and panel fit
Each core is 0.5 mm² H05Z-K, a halogen-free, polyolefin-insulated flexible wire. The blue sheath bundles the 40 cores into a single cable with a 2.2 mm outer diameter per core. The screw-type terminal on the enclosure end accepts the numbered cores and mates with the 6ES7592-1AM00-0XB0 connector body that plugs into the module. This is a field-side termination — you land your field wires at the screw terminals, not at the module face. The RAL 5010 blue sheath is standard for S7-1500 front connectors.
