What this front connector does
The 6ES7922-5BG50-0AC0 is a pre-wired front connector for SIMATIC S7-1500 digital I/O modules, carrying 40 individual cores terminated in screw-type terminals at the module end and bare wire at the field end. Rated at 24 V with a maximum of 30 V, it handles the signal-level voltages typical of 24 VDC digital inputs and outputs. The 6.5 m cable length gives enough reach from the DIN-rail-mounted module to a nearby terminal strip or junction box without a splice.
40 poles match the 40-channel front connector socket on S7-1500 digital I/O modules. Each core is 0.5 mm² H05V-K PVC-insulated single conductor, numbered consecutively from 1 to 40 on the white adapter contact. The blue sheath bundles the cores into a 2.2 mm outer diameter cable. Screw-type terminals on the enclosure side accept the stripped wire ends.
