It carries 50 conductors at 0.14 mm² each, terminated with IDC connectors at both ends, and runs 3 m between the two 50-pole interfaces.
The 50-pole IDC connector mates directly with the S7-1500 front connector module (cable side) and the connection module — no field wiring, no screw terminals. The 3 m length covers the typical distance from the I/O module to the cabinet marshalling panel; if your cabinet layout needs a longer or shorter run, this fixed length is the only option.
