What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6ES7924-0CA10-0BA0 is a TP3 terminal block with 8 channels and 2x10 terminals arranged for potential supply. It uses screw-type connections and includes an LED indicator per channel for quick visual status on the line. Rated at 60 V and 1 A, it handles the signal-level and low-power distribution inside a SIMATIC I/O station. It mounts on either 35 mm or 15 mm DIN rail, so it fits standard enclosure profiles as well as the narrower rail found in some compact S7-1200 configurations. The enclosure is 80 mm long, 68 mm wide, and 43.2 mm high at its lowest profile.
Wiring and connections
Each of the 8 channels accepts stranded wire from 0.5 to 2.5 mm², with or without ferrule. The screw terminals are on the top position, single-level, with one terminal point per level — no internal linking between levels. The cable connection is plug-in, so the terminal block can be pre-wired off-rail and snapped into place. There is no shield connection, no PE connection, and no disconnector function built in. The infeed function is present, meaning this block can serve as the potential supply entry point for the row. Combustibility class is UL 94 V1.
