Connection Module for S7-300 Potential Supply
The Siemens 6ES7924-1AA10-0AA0 is a TPK connection module designed for the SIMATIC S7-300 I/O system, providing 2x8 channels with 2x2x2 screw-type terminals for potential supply distribution. Its infeed function allows it to serve as the power feed point for the module rack, carrying a rated current of 1 A at 60 V. This is the part you need when the BOM calls for a screw-terminal potential supply module without LEDs — it feeds the bus and distributes 24 V or 48 V DC to the downstream I/O modules. Mounts on standard 35 mm DIN rail or the narrower 15 mm rail, with dimensions of 100 mm wide by 80 mm long by 43.2 mm high. The single-level top-entry terminals accept stranded wire from 0.5 to 2.5 mm², with or without ferrule. No shield connection, no PE connection, and no disconnector — this is a pure potential distribution block, not a fused or switched feed.
Panel Integration Notes
Snaps onto DIN rail — 35 mm is the standard, but the 15 mm variant is useful in shallow enclosures or retrofit panels where rail depth is tight. The black enclosure carries a UL 94 V-1 flammability rating. The plug-in connection for the cable harness (2x16-pole IDC connector) mates to the S7-300 backplane bus; the screw terminals on top take the field-side potential wiring. No end cover plate is required, so it sits flush at the end of the module row.
