PROFIBUS Bus Connector, 12 Mbit/s
The Siemens 6ES7972-0BA10-0XA0 is a SINEC L2 bus connector without PG socket, used for connecting PROFIBUS stations to the PROFIBUS bus cable. It terminates the bus segment at the device end with a 9-pin Sub D connector, handling transfer rates from 9.6 kbit/s up to 12 Mbit/s — the full PROFIBUS DP speed range, so it works on any PROFIBUS network regardless of the baud rate set in the master.
Rated IP20, so this connector is intended for use inside an enclosure or control cabinet — not for wet or dusty field locations. The plastic housing and 59 x 15.8 x 35.6 mm dimensions mean it snaps onto a standard DIN rail or mounts directly in the panel, and the -25 to 60 °C ambient range covers most indoor industrial environments without derating.
