The Siemens 6GK1500-0FC10 is a PROFIBUS FC RS 485 plug with a 180° axial cable outlet, designed to connect PROFIBUS nodes to the bus cable. It uses integrated insulation displacement contacts (FastConnect) for 2-core PB FC installation cables, saving termination time compared to screw terminals. The transfer rate spans 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s, covering the full PROFIBUS speed range from simple sensor networks up to drive islands.
Terminating Resistor and Bus Isolation
An integrated resistor combination can be selected with a slide switch. When the terminating resistor is connected, the outgoing bus is isolated — the disconnect function prevents reflections at the end of the segment. This is the standard end-of-line termination for a PROFIBUS segment; no external terminator is needed. The locking mechanism uses a screwed joint, which holds tighter in vibration than a snap-latch.

The housing measures 34.5 mm deep, 16 mm wide, and 62 mm high — a narrow footprint that leaves room for other terminations on a DIN-rail assembly. Protection class is IP20 (finger-safe, not sealed), so it belongs inside an enclosure, not out in the grease. Storage and transport range is -25 to +80 °C.
