What this CP is and what it does
The Siemens 6GK7343-1EX20-0XE0 is a double-width compact communications processor for the S7-300 platform, delivering Industrial Ethernet connectivity through a single RJ45 port at 10 or 100 Mbit/s. It supports TCP/IP, NTP for network time synchronisation, and SNMP v1 for basic network management—carrying an MIB for structured device interrogation. This module sits on the S7-300 DIN rail, occupying two slot widths (125 mm high, 80 mm wide, 120 mm deep). It draws 0.2 A from the backplane 5 V supply and requires an additional external 24 V DC connection via the 2-pole pluggable terminal block. Power dissipation is 5.8 W, and the module is rated IP20 with an operating range of 0 to 40 °C for vertical installation. Storage and transport tolerances extend from -40 to +70 °C.
