What it is – PROFINET IO controller for S7-400
The Siemens 6GK7443-1GX20-0XE0 is a compact S7-400 module for a single-width slot. It serves as a PROFINET IO controller, with a maximum of 4 as PN IO control. The module draws 9 W from the 5 V backplane supply. It includes DCP (Discovery and Configuration Protocol) for IP address assignment, NTP for time synchronization, and LLDP for neighbor discovery. The two Ethernet interfaces run at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s (first interface) and 10/100 Mbit/s (second interface).
The module is a compact S7-400 format: 25 mm width, 290 mm height, 210 mm depth. It clips directly onto the S7-400 rack, wiring into the backplane connector. No external power wiring needed beyond the rack backplane.
