The 6GK7542-5DX00-0XE0: The interface is a 9-pin Sub-D socket (RS485), with up to 125 DP slaves operable per master and a maximum of 8 such modules per CPU.
Snaps onto the S7-1500 mounting rail, 35 mm wide × 129 mm deep × 142 mm high, IP20 protected. Rated for horizontal operation from 0 to 60 °C; vertical installation derates the top end to 40 °C. Storage and transport cover -40 to +70 °C.
Requires STEP 7 Professional V12 (TIA Portal) or higher for configuration — factor that into your engineering toolchain.
