What this CP does in the rack
The Siemens 6GK7543-1MX00-0XE0 is a communication processor for the S7-1500 system, supporting DNP3 and substation protocols alongside SNMP management. It sits in a double-wide slot and needs TIA Portal V14 SP1 or higher. Supply voltage 20.4–28.8 V DC, 0–70 °C operation.
What it doesn't do (routing)
This module does not handle PC or BGP routing. It supports automation protocols: DCP for discovery, NTP for time sync, LLDP for topology, plus DNP3 and substation protocols. For WAN routing, use a separate router.
Panel fit
Double-wide S7-1500 format, one per CPU. Mounts in the backplane; 70 mm wide, 147 mm tall, 129 mm deep. No separate aux power needed – picks up from the rack. Just make sure your TIA Portal is V14 SP1 or newer.
